Operational Report of PNA from 4th to 10th December 2024
In the dynamics of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People National s Army carried out, during the period from 4th to 10th December 2024, several operations that led in quality results that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of the fight against terrorism and thanks to the efforts of the security services of People's National Army, the terrorists named respectively "BAYAOUI Shafaï", alias "Abou El-Tahar" and "FOULANI Ali" surrendered to the military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar in the Sixth Military Region. The two terrorists had in their possession (02) submachine guns type Kalashnikov (09) loaded magazines and other effects.In the same context, a detachment of PNA recovered following a search operation in Bordj Badji Mokhtar One (01) heavy machine gun type Douchka, caliber 12.7 mm, while other detachments of People's National Army arrested (07) elements of support for terrorist groups in different operations across the national territory.
As part of the fight against organized crime and in continuity with sustained efforts to counter the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army intercepted, in coordination with the various security services, during operations carried out across the Military Regions, (36) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce (12) quintals and (31) kilograms of treated kif from the borders with Morocco, while (1.6) kilograms of cocaine, and (1,235,506) psychotropic tablets were seized, during different operations across the national territory.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam, Djanet and Illizi, detachments of People's National Army arrested (596) individuals and seized (49) vehicles, (384) generators, (337) jackhammers, (05) metal detectors, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixture, explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Similarly, (23) other individuals were arrested and (4) hunting rifles, (21,940) liters of fuel, (83) quintals of tobacco, as well as (21.30) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation were seized.
On the other hand, the Coast Guard foiled, at the level of our national coasts, an illegal emigration attempts and proceeded to the rescue of (480) individuals on board home-built boats, while (20) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
