Fight Against Terrorism and Organized Crime.. Seizure of a Large Quantity of Psychotropic Tablets in In Amenas
As part of the ongoing efforts in the fight against terrorism and organised crime, and following a clash with a group of drug traffickers, detachments of the People's National Army, in coordination with various security and customs services, arrested six (06) drug traffickers on Wednesday, 18th December 2024, in the North-East Operational Sector of In Amenas/4th Military Region. The detainees included four (04) Algerians and two (02) Malians.

- Three (03) FMPK-type machine guns;
- Two (02) Kalashnikov-type submachine guns;
- Two thousand four hundred and ninety (2,490) rounds of various calibres;
- Two million four hundred and twenty-four thousand four hundred and fifty (2,424,450) Brégabaline psychotropic tablets;
- Three (03) Thuraya communication devices, one transceiver, and four (04) smartphones.
