Operational report of PNA from 31st january to 06th february 2024
In the dynamic of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army executed, during the period from 31th to 06th January 2024, several operations which led to high quality results which reflect the professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army arrested a Tamanrasset 6th MR the named «OuldBouksib Mokhtar» who activated in the terrorist groups in aborad other detachments arrested (07) elements supporting terrorist groups during separate operations.
As part of the fight against organized crime, and in continuation of sustained efforts aiming to thwart the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations executed across the Military Regions, (55) drug traffickers, and thwarted attempts to introduce (10) quintals and (57) kilograms of treated kif coming from the borders with Morocco, while ( 184827) psychotropic tablets were been seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In GUEZEM and Djanet, PNA detachments arrested (236) individuals and seized (26) vehicles, (187) generators, (112) jackhammers, (40) quintals of mixture of raw gold and stones, as well as quantities of explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Likewise, (32) other individuals were intercepted and (02) sub machinegun type kalachikov, (22) hutting rile (03) semi-automatic rifle and large quantities of ammunition of different calibers, (32643) litters of fuel, (53) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation (175) quintals of copper waste, (36) quintals of tobacco and (26103) units of various beverages were seized during separate operations across the national territory.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard thwarted several attempts at illegal emigration on our national coasts, (148) individuals aboard artisanal boats, while (352) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
