Within the framework of their sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and multifaceted organised crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out during 2023, several operations which led to high quality results that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory, in order to thwart all attempts to undermine the security and stability of our country and its sovereignty.

      As part of the fight against terrorism, our Armed Forces have neutralised (16) terrorists and (417) support elements for terrorist groups, discovered and destroyed (37) casemates and shelters used by terrorists, and recovered (136) guns, (169) shells, (95) bombs of different types and large quantities of ammunition.



      Within the framework of the fight against organised crime, the different PNA units have multiplied their efforts to thwart the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, resulting in the arrest of (2,723) drug traffickers and thwarting the smuggling of (573) quintals of treated kif from the borders with Morocco, while (86.345) kilograms of cocaine and (11625283) psychotropic tablets were seized. These qualitative operations also led to the arrest of (15,150) individuals and the seizure of (4,433) jackhammers, (8,030) generators, (209) metal detectors, (1,353) vehicles, (585.6) tonnes of mixed stone and raw gold, (612) hunting rifles, (22,19518) litres of fuel, (262.2) tonnes of tobacco and (4,445) tonnes of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation, in separate operations across the national territory.



      In addition, combined detachments of People's National Army apprehended (14814) illegal immigrants of different nationalities throughout the national territory.
