As part of the Algerian-Italian military cooperation activities programme, the 14th session of the Algerian-Italian Joint Committee for cooperation in the technical-military and defence industry fields was held on 29th and 30th January 2024 at the National Army Circle at Beni Messous, where Major General Mohamed Salah BENBICHA, Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defence received in audience, Lieutenant General Luciano PORTOLANO, Secretary General of the Italian Ministry of Defence and National Director of Armaments. During this meeting, the two parties exchanged views on issues of common interest.


      In this regard, the two parties co-chaired the 14th session of the Algerian-Italian Joint Committee for cooperation in the technical-military and defence industry fields, during which an evaluation was made of the activities carried out in 2023 and the provisional programme of activities for 2024. This session provided an opportunity to promote the various areas of cooperation between the armies of the two countries.


     

      At the end of the Algerian-Italian Joint Commission work, the two parties signed the minutes and exchanged symbolic gifts.
