As part of fight against terrorism and thanks to the efficient exploitation of intelligence, combined detachments of People's National Army arrested five (05) terrorists in the period from 20th June to 23rd , 2024, in two separate operations at the sector level. Operational Bordj Badji Mokhtar and the Tamanrasset Military Sector in the 6th Military Region.

      The first operation carried out at the Tamanrasset Military Sector allowed the arrest of 04th four terrorists. Who are: In-Adjenna Ahmed known as Ahmed El-Targui, Foughas Abdelkarim known as Beka, Aberzoulegh Moussa known as Machaki, Hadj Ousmane Boujemaa known as Djema. Terrorists belonging to terrorist groups operating in the Sahel region had in their possession:

• Two (02) machine guns type FMPK;
• Four (04) submachine guns type Kalashnikov;
• Two (02) chains of ammunition, filled with (139) bullets of caliber 7.62x54 mm;
• Six ammunition magazines loaded with (148) 7.62x39 mm caliber bullets.

      The second operation carried out at the Bordj Badji Mokhtar Operational sector led to the arrest of the wanted terrorist, Barbouchi Mataa Moulan.

      These operations reiterate, once again, the effectiveness of the approach adopted by People's National Army and the efforts made by our Armed Forces on the ground in order to overcome the scourge of terrorism in our country, and establish security And tranquillity across the entire national territory.
