Operational Report of PNA from 17th July to 23rd 2024
In the dynamic of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army executed, during the period from 17th July to 23rd 2024, several operations leading to quality results which reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People’s National Army intercepted (10) elements of support for terrorist groups during separate operations across the national territory.
Furthermore, a detachments of People's National Army arrested the bandit named L.ATOU who was causing trouble among the citizens in Timiaouine, in his possession of one (01) sniper rifle SVD, one (01) magazine of ammunition and (74) bullets.
As part of the fight against organized crime, and in continuation of sustained efforts aimed at thwarting the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations executed across the Military Regions, (24) drug traffickers, and foiled attempts to introduce (08) quintals and (12) kilograms of Treated kif coming from the borders with Morocco, while (1.134) kilograms of cocaine and (27257) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Illizi, Bordj Badji Mokhtar and In-Salah, PNA detachments arrested (61) individuals and seized (08) vehicles, (71) generators, (37) jackhammers, as well as quantities of raw gold stones mixture, explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Likewise, (04) other individuals were intercepted and (01) automatic pistols, (08) hunting rifles, (17) bullets, (259) cartridge, (43502) liters of fuel, (10.6) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation were seized in separate operations across the national territory.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard foiled, on the national coasts, illegal emigration attempts by (189) individuals aboard artisanal boats, while (268) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
