General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of PNA Staff presides over the graduation ceremony of the 17th promotion of the Higher War School
General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of People's National Army Staff chaired, this Saturday morning, 29TH June, 2024, at the Higher War School, the graduation ceremony of the 17th promotion of the Higher War Studies Course.
After the welcome ceremony, and at the entrance to the Higher War School, General accompanied by Major General Ali SIDANE, Commander of the 1st Military Region and Major General Hamid FEKANE, Director of the School, observed a moment of silence in memory of the late President “Ali KAFI” whose headquarters of the School is named in his name, and laid a wreath of flowers in front of the commemorative stele, before reciting the Fatiha in his memory.
Then, the General held a meeting with executives and trainee officers where he delivered an orientation speech in which he stressed that PNA High Command placed its hopes in the human potential available the Higher War School, to develop the operational capabilities of our Armed Forces:
«The High Command of PNA places its hopes in the qualified human resources available to the Higher War School, to provide the expected contribution not only in the area of continuous improvement of the operational capabilities of our Armed Forces, but also to formulate prospective visions of the evolution of the forms and arts of war and to draw lessons and lessons from the conflicts taking place in our living space.
Therefore, it is up to us, today, as soldiers, to continue the quest for scientific knowledge and military knowledge, to work towards the mastery of modern technologies, so as to give full meaning to the concept of professionalization in within the People's National Army and to work, with faith and determination, to enable our Armed Forces to win the challenge of deterrence».
The General stressed the need for the soldier to believe in the cause he defends and to demonstrate determination to achieve victory, these two elements being essential guarantors of performance on the battlefield ground :
«Faith in the cause, self-sacrifice and a sense of sacrifice for the homeland remain undeniably sure values, guaranteeing victory on the battlefield. Indeed, numerous modern wars have demonstrated that the will of men prevails over the enemy, despite his immense material resources. The glorious November Revolution is the best example.
As such, our country will celebrate this year the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious revolution of liberation, the commemoration of which continues to constitute a link between the generations of the revolution and the generations of independence, and to serve as a exemplary model, worthy of being followed».
The Director of the Higher War School, Major General Hamid FEKANE, then delivered a speech in which he praised the efforts made for the development and growth of the school:
“As we celebrate the consecration and success of the graduation promotions of our training establishment, it is up to us to salute the qualities and efforts of those who contributed to leading this great achievement to a highly remarkable level of maturation, thanks to their tireless efforts made for the development and flourishing of our school with the standards of a center of excellence, taking into account its prestigious rank in the space of military knowledge and as a beacon shining through the military sciences. more prodigious, the arts of war and the various fields related to it like the military human sciences, knowledge and experiences whose inculcation is capable of shaping modern and innovative thinking among successive generations of elites of the Commanders of our Armed Forces".
Subsequently, the General followed an audiovisual presentation, covering the results of the School's activities for the 2023-2024 school year, followed by the announcement of the results, the awarding of diplomas and the baptism of the promotion of the name of the chahid “Gueraouche Seddik”.
The General followed, on this occasion, a speech delivered by the representative of the graduation promotion. The General then went to the teaching division, where he followed presentations on study dissertations, presented by student officers from the different forces. At the end of the ceremony, the General honoured the members of the Chahid's family whose the graduation promotion was named after him, before signing the School's golden book.
