Operational report of PNA from 29th May to 4th June, 2024
In the dynamic of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army executed, during the period from 29th May to 4th June, 2024, several operations leading to results of quality which reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army arrested (03) elements of support for terrorist groups, during separate operations across the national territory.
As part of the fight against organized crime, and in continuation of sustained efforts aimed at thwarting the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations executed across the Military Regions, (71) drug traffickers, and thwarted attempts to introduce (102) kilograms of treated kif from the borders with Morocco, while (500519) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam and Djanet, PNA detachments arrested (245) individuals and seized (37) vehicles, (215) generators, (137) jackhammers, (11) metal detectors, as well as quantities of explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Likewise, (13) other individuals were intercepted and (06) hunting rifles, (17,142) litters of fuel, (64) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation and (58) quintals of tobacco were seized during separate operations across the national territory.
Furthermore, (171) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
