Operational report of PNA from 05th to 11th June 2024
In the dynamic of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army executed, during the period from 5th to 11th June 2024, several operations resulting in quality results which reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of the fight against terrorism, three terrorists surrendered to the military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar. These are: “Bouhdjer Abdelaziz” known as “Aymen”, “Ouled El-Bekey Mohamed Lamine” known as “Abou Ahmed” and “Foulani Ibrahim” known as “Abou Anas”. The said terrorists had in their possession (03) submachine guns type Kalashnikov, a quantity of ammunition and other objects. Likewise, (19) elements supporting terrorist groups were arrested during separate operations across the national territory.
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime, and in continuation of sustained efforts aimed at thwarting the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations executed across the Military Regions, (123) drug traffickers, and thwarted attempts to introduce (19) quintals and (21) kilograms of treated kif coming from the borders with Morocco, while (3,667,300) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam and Illizi, PNA detachments arrested (169) individuals and seized (26) vehicles, (109) generators, (51) jackhammers, (03) metal detectors, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixtures, explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Likewise, (13) other individuals were intercepted and (08) hunting rifles, (5,664) litters of fuel, (85) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation and (21) quintals of tobacco were seized during distinct operations across the national territory.
Furthermore, (452) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
