Operational report of PNA from 12th June to 19th, 2024
In the dynamic of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army executed, during the period from 12th June to 19th, 2024, several operations resulting in quality results which reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of the fight against terrorism, two (02) terrorists surrendered to the military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar. In this case it is: “S. A” and “S. HER". The said terrorists had in their possession (02) submachine guns type Kalashnikov, a large batch of weapons, a quantity of ammunition and other objects. Likewise, (03) elements supporting terrorist groups were arrested during separate operations across the national territory.
As part of the fight against organized crime, and in continuation of sustained efforts aimed at thwarting the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of the PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations executed across the Military Regions, (28) drug traffickers, and foiled attempts to introduce (06) quintals and (12) kilograms of treated kif coming from the borders with Morocco, while (78,663) psychotropic tablets were been seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar and Djanet, PNA detachments arrested (149) individuals and seized (12) vehicles, (66) generators, (51) jackhammers, (03) metal detectors, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixtures, explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold panning operations. Likewise, (12) other individuals were intercepted and (01) submachine gun type Kalashnikov, (08) hunting rifles and (12,030) liters of fuel were seized during separate operations across the national territory.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard foiled, on the national coasts, illegal emigration attempts by (58) individuals aboard artisanal boats, while (207) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
