Operational Report of PNA from 20th to 25th June 2024
Within the dynamic of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army executed, during the period from 20th to 25th June 2024, several operations leading to quality results which reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of the fight against terrorism and during a search and combing operation near Amrouna, wilayad'AïnDefla, a detachment of People's National Army shot dead, on 24th June 2024, the terrorist called "BenguizaMustapha" said “Khaled Mazen”, who joined terrorist groups in 2007. The said terrorist had in his possession one (01) submachine gun type Kalashnikov, a quantity of ammunition, a pair of binoculars and various objects.
In the same context, PNA detachments intercepted (03) support elements for terrorist groups during separate operations across the national territory, while (04) artisanal bombs were discovered and destroyed in Blida.
As part of the fight against organized crime, and in continuation of sustained efforts aimed at thwarting the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations executed across the Military Regions, (61) drug traffickers, and thwarted attempts to introduce (04) quintals and (61) kilograms of treated kif coming from the borders with Morocco, while (4.06) kilograms of cocaine and (173405) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtaret In Guezzam, PNA detachments arrested (131) individuals and seized (20) vehicles, (68) generators, (47) jackhammers, as well as quantities of mixture of raw gold and stones, explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Likewise, (09) other individuals were intercepted and (01) semi-automatic rifle, (05) hunting rifles, (10,846) litters of fuel, (12) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation and (10) ) quintals of tobacco were seized during separate operations across the national territory.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard thwarted, on the national coasts, illegal emigration attempts by (121) individuals aboard artisanal boats, while (736) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
