General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of PNA Staff on a working and inspection visit to the 2nd Military Region
As part of the implementation of the combat preparation program for the 2023/2024 training year, and as a continuation of the inspection visits to Military Regions, General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of People's National Army Staff began, this Wednesday, 22nd May 2024, a working visit to the 2nd Military Region in Oran.
After the welcoming ceremony, given by Major General Mohammed Tayeb BRAKNI, Commander of the 2nd Military Region, the General observed a moment of silence in memory of the late Moudjahid Ahmed BOUDJENANAE, known as Si Abbès, whose headquarters of the Command is named after him, just as he placed a wreath of flowers in front of his commemorative stele, before reciting the Fatiha in his memory and that of the valiant Chouhada.
During his meeting with the executives and personnel of the 2nd Military Region, the General delivered an orientation speech, broadcast by videoconference through all the units of the Region, in which he stressed that the right to live in peace and security necessarily implies ensuring the construction of a dissuasive defence force, which guarantees and preserves this right:
«All people, without exception, have the right to live in peace, and to aspire to security and tranquillity. This is a right guaranteed by all human laws and countries around the world are working towards this right, ensuring that they build a dissuasive defence force. Any right, which is not supported by force, would therefore be nothing more than a mirage and an unrealistic objective.
In this sense, we are working within PNA, under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, to give Algeria the power capable of preserving the right of its people to live with dignity, in independence and sovereignty».
The General stressed that PNA ensures the implementation of a global approach, which aims to continuously increase the combat capabilities of the Battle Corps and strengthen the defence apparatus of our country. , through the provision of all the necessary human and material potential:
«To achieve this noble objective, we have implemented a global approach, which aims to continuously increase the combat capabilities of our Battle Corps and the strengthening of our defence apparatus, through the training of personnel and the preparation in combat of units, as well as the qualification of human potential by providing them with the conditions and means allowing them to achieve excellence. Indeed, we have the firm conviction that qualified human resources, who master the weapons made available to them and who best accomplish the assigned missions, are the cornerstone of any development process and the solid base on which we count enormously for the realization of our ambition to build a powerful and imposing army.
Furthermore, we are working to develop our combat equipment and modernize our weapons systems, so as to enable PNA to come into line with the accelerated technological development that the armies are experiencing today, through the world».
At the end, the floor was given to staff from the region to express their concerns and, on this occasion, they displayed their complete willingness to fully assume their noble missions in the service of Algeria.
