Operational report of PNA from 25th to 30th April, 2024
In the dynamic of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army executed, during the period from 25th to 30th April 2024, several operations resulting in quality results which reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of the fight against terrorism and during a search and combing operation in the Tamoulga region , commune of Oued Fedda in Chlef, a detachment of People's National Army eliminated the terrorist "B. Samir" called " Abou Dhouha”, who had in his possession one (01) Kalashnikov type submachine gun, a quantity of ammunition and various effects. While the terrorist “G.Abderahmane” called “Youcef Zakaria”surrendered to the military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar in his possession one (01) FMPK machine gun, one (01) automatic pistol, a grenade and a quantity of ammunition. Also, other quantities of explosives and detonation equipment were discovered and destroyed.
In the same wake, a PNA detachment eliminated three (03) dangerous brigands in their possession one (01) automatic pistol, who were sowing trouble among citizens in Bordj Badji Mokhtar.
Likewise, other detachments arrested (11) elements supporting terrorist groups, during separate operations across the national territory.
As part of the fight against organized crime, and in continuation of sustained efforts aimed at thwarting the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations executed across the Military Regions, (53) drug traffickers, and foiled attempts to introduce (229) kilograms of processed kif from the borders with Morocco, while (135) grams of cocaine and (986816) tablets psychotropic drugs were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam and Tindouf, PNA detachments arrested (317) individuals and seized (33) vehicles, (132) generators, (99) jackhammers, (06) metal detectors, as well as quantities of explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold panning operations. Likewise, (35) other individuals were intercepted and (23) hunting rifles, (04) automatic pistols, (46,791) liters of fuel, (100) quintals of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation, (63) quintals of tobacco and (69,068) units of various drinks were seized during separate operations across the national territory.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard foiled, on the national coasts, illegal emigration attempts of (08) individuals aboard artisanal boats, while (272) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
