In the dynamic of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army executed, during the period from 15th to 21st May, 2024, several operations resulting in quality results which reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:

      As part of the fight against terrorism, PNA detachments arrested (12) elements of support for terrorist groups, during separate operations across the national territory.


      Within the framework of the fight against organized crime, and in continuation of sustained efforts aimed at thwarting the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations executed across the Military Regions, (91) drug traffickers, and thwarted attempts to introduce (780) kilograms of treated kif from the borders with Morocco, while (49) kilograms of cocaine and (1044943) tablets psychotropic drugs were seized.



      In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar and In Guezzam, PNA detachments arrested (314) individuals and seized (56) vehicles, (335) generators, (164) jackhammers, (03) metal detectors, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixtures, explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Likewise, (35) other individuals were intercepted and (01) submachine gun type Kalashnikov, (13) hunting rifles, (71,437) liters of fuel, (50) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation and (40) quintals of tobacco were seized during separate operations across the national territory.



      Furthermore, the Coast Guard thwarted, on the national coasts, illegal emigration attempts of (25) individuals aboard artisanal boats, while (577) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
