General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of People’s National Army Staff, continues his official visit to the State of Qatar
In the dynamic of his official visit to Qatar, to take part in the 8th edition of the International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference "DIMDEX-2024", at the invitation of Lieutenant General Salem Ben Hamed Al Aqeel Al Nabit, Chief of Qatari Armed Forces Staff, General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of People's National Army Staff, was received yesterday evening 3rd March 2024, by Mr. Khaled Ben Mohamed El-Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister, Qatari Minister of State for Defence Affairs. During these meetings, the General emphasized the importance given by the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to strengthening the ties of fraternity and cooperation with the sister country Qatar:
"I am very honoured to warmly thank you for your kind invitation to us to attend the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference “DIMDEX-2024” in its eighth edition, expressing once further my deep satisfaction at being in Qatar again, expressing my greatest esteem to you, while at the same time appreciating the warmth of friendship and the signs of remarkable hospitality with which you have bestowed upon us.
I would also like to convey the greetings of your brother, the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who pays particular attention to strengthening the ties of fraternity and cooperation with Qatar, and the elevation of bilateral military relations to the level of excellence".
General Saïd CHANEGRIHA reiterated his commitment to promoting and strengthening military cooperation between the two countries:
"We want this meeting to be a renewed opportunity, which we seize to examine the different areas of military cooperation uniting our armies, this cooperation which we want to strengthen thanks to the attentive and constant care of the leaders of the two countries and their shared commitment to promote it more and more and bring it to its full potential."
For his part, Mr. Khalid Bin Mohamed Al Attiyah, Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, underlined the quality of bilateral cooperation relations and the strategic partnership between Algeria and Qatar, embodying thus the strong will of the leaders of the two countries.
At the end, General Saïd CHANEGRIHA met with Major General Hamad Bin Ali Al Attiyah, Advisor to His Highness the Prince for Defence Affairs, where they assessed the trajectory of military cooperation between the two countries and to examine ways to strengthen it in the future.
