Following the remarkable success of the military parade organized on the occasion of the 70
th anniversary of the outbreak of the Glorious Revolution of 1
st November 1954, General Said CHANEGRIHA, Chief of People's National Army Staff, chaired this morning, Monday 11
th November 2024, at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defence, a ceremony of distinction in honor of the military executives and personnel who participated in this important military parade.
During this ceremony, which was attended by the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defence, the Commander of the 1
st Military Region, the Commanders of Forces and the National Gendarmerie, the Chiefs of Departments, the Comptroller General of the Army, the Directors and Chiefs of Services of the Ministry of National Defence and of People's National Army Staff, the Directors General of Customs, National Security and Civil Protection, the General delivered a speech in which he wished to convey to the personnel who participated in the parade, the congratulations of the President of the Republic, for the enormous efforts made for the success of this military parade, which gave an honorable image of PNA and an Algeria proud of its glorious Revolution:

"Following the remarkable success of the military parade organized on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious Revolution of 1st November 1954, it is very pleasant for me to present to you, on behalf of Mr. President of the Republic Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense and on behalf of all the personnel of People's National Army, the warmest congratulations and the most sincere feelings of recognition and gratitude for the sustained efforts that you have made, with selflessness and mastery, during all the stages of preparation and execution of this parade which was a success in more than one way.
We wanted, through the organization of this military parade, involving the land, air, naval and Territory Air Defense forces, which gave an honorary image of the PNA and Algeria, to live up to the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of our glorious Revolution, which was and will remain one of the most important stages in modern human history.
Likewise, by organizing this parade, we wanted to recall a resplendent era of our glorious history, to pay a vibrant tribute to our valiant predecessors, who sacrificed what was most dear to them for freedom, independence and sovereignty, and to draw inspiration from the values of resilience, sacrifice, self-denial and attachment to the constants of the nation and the achievements of our Glorious Revolution."
The General indicated that loyalty to the sacrifices of the millions of Algerian chouhada and the preservation of their legacy implies the strengthening of the country's defense capabilities, mentioning the major interest given by the President of the Republic to the issue of national memory:
"This occasion which reminds us of the long convoys of millions of chouhada who marked the path to independence and irrigated the tree of sovereignty with their blood is an opportunity to recall the great deeds of these heroes who chose to sacrifice themselves so that we could live free and masters on our land. It is also an appointment to renew the oath of loyalty to them and preserve their legacy, by strengthening our defensive and security capabilities.
In this context, national memory constitutes one of the most important elements to which the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, Mr. Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE grants a major interest in the construction of a powerful and triumphant Algeria, and this, as an integral part of this ambitious national process, which aims to strengthen national unity, security requirements and the strategic development of the country, all in line with the ambitions of our people for a dignified life and lasting stability."
At the end, the General presided the ceremony of distinction for the benefit of the chiefs, executives and personnel who actively contributed to the success of the military parade.
