General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of PNA Staff , presides over the official installation ceremony of the Commander of the 3rd Military Region
On behalf of the President of the Republic, Supreme chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of People's National Army Staff, presided over, this Thursday, 21st November, 2024, the installation ceremony of Major General Necereddine Foudhil, in the functions of Commander of the 3rd Military Region, in Béchar.
After the welcoming ceremony, the General listened to the national anthem and observed, at the entrance to the headquarters of the Command of the 3rd Military Region, a moment of silence in memory of the martyr "Moustapha BENBOULAID" whose headquarters of the Command of the Region is named after him. The General laid a wreath in front of the memorial stele of the martyr and recited the Fatiha in his memory and that of the valiant chouhada.
Then, the General inspected the squares of the executives and personnel of the Region, lined up at the parade ground, before announcing the official installation of the Commander of the 3rd Military Region, replacing Major General Mostefa SMAILI.
"On behalf of the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, and in accordance with the presidential decree of 12th November, 2024, I officially install Major General Necereddine Foudhil as Commander of the 3rd Military Region, replacing Major General Mostefa SMAILI.
Also, I order you to work under his authority, follow his orders and carry out his instructions, in the interest of the service, in application of military regulations and the laws of the Republic, and by showing loyalty to the sacrifices of our valiant Chouhada and the values of our glorious Revolution."
The General then presided over the ceremony of handing over the national flag and the signing of the minutes of the transfer of power.
At the end, the General met with the executives and personnel of the Region, and delivered an orientation speech, broadcast by videoconference to all its units, through which he reiterated his congratulations on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious revolution of 1st November 1954, emphasizing that exemplary discipline and the pooling of efforts, combined with military ethics, a high sense of patriotism and unity of ranks, are the only guarantors for the construction of a strong and renowned army.
"This meeting takes place while we are still living the festive atmosphere of the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious Revolution of 1st November , 1954, this revolution which changed the course of history and was the crowning of a long struggle, led with force and bravery, by our valiant people, for more than 130 years, and which ended with victory over the enemy, irremediably driving him from our land.
On this historic occasion, we pray to Allah the Most High to grant our People's National Army, worthy heir to the National Liberation Army, under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, success, and to assist its valiant children in their efforts to safeguard the freedom, sovereignty and national independence of our country, capable of ensuring the progress and well-being of our people in a climate of security, stability and fraternity.
These requirements constantly challenge us, within the limits of the responsibilities and prerogatives of each and every one, to demonstrate exemplary discipline, rigor and perseverance, and to work to pool efforts, by imbuing ourselves with military ethics, a sense of high patriotism and unity of ranks, because this is how we will succeed in building a strong army that enjoys notoriety".
