4th day of the official visit of General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of PNA Staff, to the State of Kuwait.
On the 4th day of his official visit to the State of Kuwait, General Said CHANEGRIHA, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of People's National Army Staff, met today, Wednesday, 27th November, 2024, with Lieutenant General Hashem Abdelrazak Al-Rifai, Deputy Secretary of the Kuwaiti National Guard.
During this meeting, which was attended by members of the high-level military delegation accompanying the General and military officials of the Kuwaiti armed forces, the two parties examined bilateral military relations and ways to strengthen military cooperation between the armies of the two brotherly countries.
On this occasion, the General delivered a speech in which he expressed his joy at visiting the State of Kuwait, a country that maintains fraternal relations with Algeria whose roots date back to the Glorious Revolution of 1st November, 1954:
"It is with great joy that I would like to express my deep gratitude to you for the fraternal welcome extended to me and to the delegation accompanying me on the occasion of this official visit to the brotherly State of Kuwait.
I take this opportunity to reaffirm the excellence of the long-standing relations between our two brotherly countries, which have their roots in the Glorious Revolution of 1st November 1954, a timeless milestone during which our brothers in Kuwait, leaders and people, have provided us with the necessary support and assistance, as did His Highness the late Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad, may God have mercy on his soul, then Minister of Foreign Affairs, by personally chairing the committee for collecting donations and supporting the National Liberation Army. In this sense, Kuwait has always occupied a special place in the hearts of Algerians, as evidenced by the willingness of the leaders of the two countries to raise our bilateral relations to the height of their historical depth and strategic importance."
The General praised the dynamism of bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly following the visit made by the President of the Republic to the State of Kuwait in February 2022:
"It is also worth noting the positive dynamic that the visit of the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune to Kuwait in February 2022 has given to bilateral relations, particularly in terms of strengthening coordination and political consultation between the two countries, and boosting Algerian-Kuwaiti cooperation in the fields of economy, trade and investment.
This motivates our two armies to move forward, towards continuous action, capable of achieving diversified military cooperation in line with this distinguished political rapprochement between the two countries."
For his part, Lieutenant General Hashem Abdelrazak Al-Rifai, Deputy Secretary of the Kuwaiti National Guard, expressed his joy at meeting the General, highlighting Algeria's role as a regional actor respected by its partners at the Arab, continental and international levels, and hoping that this visit will constitute a new step on the path to promoting bilateral military cooperation at the expected level.
General Said CHANEGRIHA, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of People's National Army Staff, held a one-on-one meeting with Sheikh Mubararak Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Chief of the Kuwaiti National Guard. During this meeting, the two parties exchanged views on the means and ways to achieve diversified military cooperation, within the framework of the positive dynamics of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
