Operational Report of PNA from 30th octobre to 5th november 2024
in the dynamics of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 30th October to 5th November 2024, several operations that resulted in quality results that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of the fight against terrorism and thanks to the efforts of the units of People's National Army, (3) machine guns, a quantity of ammunition and other effects were seized during two operations carried out in Illizi and Tamanrasset, while detachments of People's National Army arrested (11) elements supporting terrorist groups in different operations across the national territory.
As part of the fight against organized crime and in continuity of sustained efforts aimed at countering the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army intercepted, in coordination with the various security services, during operations carried out across the Military Regions, (37) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce (12) quintals and (96) kilograms of processed kif from the borders with Morocco, while (2.5) kilograms of cocaine and (636,307) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam and Tindouf, detachments of People's National Army arrested (120) individuals and seized (34) vehicles, (79) generators, (58) jackhammers, (4) metal detectors, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixture, explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Similarly, (8) other individuals were arrested and (9) hunting rifles, (2) automatic pistols, (12,903) liters of fuel, as well as (57.57) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation were seized, during separate operations across the national territory.
On the other hand, the Coast Guard foiled, at the level of our national coasts, attempts at illegal emigration and proceeded to the rescue of (226) individuals on board home-built boats, while (368) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
