Operational Report of PNA from 13th to the 19th November 2024
In the dynamics of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 13th to 19th November 2024, several operations which led to quality results that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of the fight against terrorism, two terrorists surrendered to the military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar. These are: "Foullani Ahmed" known as "Aboubakr El-Tahar" and "El-Tibari El-Zine" known as "Abdelhakim". The said terrorists had in their possession (2) submachine guns type Kalashnikov, a quantity of ammunition and other objects. Similarly, (6) elements supporting terrorist groups were arrested during separate operations across the national territory.
As part of the fight against organized crime and in continuity with sustained efforts aimed at countering the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army intercepted, in coordination with the various security services, during operations carried out across the Military Regions, (55) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce (4) quintals and (6) kilograms of processed kif from the borders with Morocco, while (6.31) kilograms of cocaine and (439,661) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar and In Guezzam, detachments of People's National Army arrested (200) individuals and seized (30) vehicles, (192) generators, (97) jackhammers, (8) metal detectors, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixture, explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Similarly, (8) other individuals were arrested and (12) hunting rifles, (4) automatic pistols, one (1) sniper rifle, (14,960) liters of fuel, as well as (12.75) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation were seized, during separate operations across the national territory.
On the other hand, the Coast Guard foiled, at the level of our national coasts, attempts an illegal emigration and proceeded to the rescue of (231) individuals on board home-built boats, while (98) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
