Operational Report of PNA from 20th to the 26th November 2024
In the dynamics of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 20th to 26th November, 2024, several operations which led to quality results that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of fight against terrorism and thanks to the efforts of the units of People's National Army, the terrorist named "Hocine Karzazi" known as "Abderrazzak", surrendered to the military authorities of Bordj Badji Mokhtar in the 6th Military Region, in his possession one (1) submachine gun type -Kalashnikov, one (1) homemade bomb, a quantity of ammunition and other effects, while detachments of People's National Army arrested (5) elements supporting terrorist groups in different operations.
As part of fight against organized crime and in continuity with sustained efforts to counter the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of People’s National Army intercepted, in coordination with the various security services, during operations carried out across the Military Regions, (64) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce (5) quintals and (36) kilograms of treated kif from the borders with Morocco.
In the same context, combined detachments of People’s National Army seized, in coordination with the Customs services, in Oran in the 2nd Military Region, a large quantity of Cocaine amounting to (112,648) kilograms, while (13.33) kilograms of the same substance and (1,314,165) psychotropic tablets were seized, during various operations across the national territory.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Salah, In Guezzam and Illizi, detachments of People's National Army arrested (207) individuals and seized (18) vehicles, (269) generators, (127) jackhammers, (04) metal detectors as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixture, explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Similarly, (15) other individuals were arrested and (7) hunting rifles, two (2) automatic pistols, one (1) machine gun, (41,530) liters of fuel, as well as (9.46) quintals of tobacco and (61.74) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation were seized.
On the other hand, the Coast Guard foiled, at the level of our national coasts, an illegal emigration attempts and proceeded to the rescue of (213) individuals on board home-built boats, while (460) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
