Operational Report of PNA from 25th September to the 1st October 2024
In the dynamics of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of the People's National Army carried out, during the period from 25th September to 1st October, 2024, several operations resulting in quality results that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of the fight against terrorism and border security, and thanks to the efforts of the units of People's National Army, the terrorist named "REGGADI Amhamed" known as "Abou El-Hammam", surrendered to the military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar in the Sixth Military Region, in his possession one (01) submachine gun type Kalashnikov, (05) loaded ammunition magazines, one (01) defensive grenade and others effects. In the same context, a detachment of People's National Army discovered and destroyed (20) homemade bombs in Tizi Ouzou, while other detachments of People's National Army arrested (17) elements supporting terrorist groups during separate operations across the national territory.
As part of the fight against organized crime, and in continuity with sustained efforts to counter the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations carried out across the Military Regions, (31) drug traffickers, and thwarted attempts to introduce (05) quintals and (80) kilograms of treated kif from the borders with Morocco, while (2.38) kilograms of cocaine and (376,682) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Salah and In Guezzam, PNA detachments arrested (96) individuals and seized (29) vehicles, (118) generators, (42) jackhammers, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixture, explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Similarly, (18) other individuals were arrested and (01) submachine gun type Kalashnikov-, (08) hunting rifles, (04) automatic pistols, (15,200) liters of fuel, (36) quintals of tobacco, as well as (20.4) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation were seized, during separate operations across the national territory.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard thwarted, on the national coasts, attempts at illegal emigration of (139) individuals on board home-built boats, while (452) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
