Operational Report of PNA from 2nd to the 8th October 2024
In the dynamics of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 02nd and 08th October 2024, several operations which led to high quality results that reflect the professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of the fight against terrorism and borders security , detachments of People's National Army arrested (5) elements supporting terrorist groups during separate operations.
As part of the fight against organized crime and in continuity of sustained efforts aimed at countering the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of the PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations carried out across the Military Regions, (40) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce (13) quintals and (80) kilograms of trated kif from the borders with Morocco, while (64,133) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Salah, In Guezzam and Djanet, PNA detachments arrested (126) individuals and seized (44) vehicles, (171) generators, (90) jackhammers, (03) metal detectors, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixture, explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Similarly, (37) other individuals were arrested and (04) submachine guns type Kalashnikov, (10) hunting rifles, (01) automatic pistol, as well as (30,810) liters of fuel, (71.2) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation were seized, during separate operations across the national territory.
On the other hand, the Coast Guard foiled, at the level of our national coasts, attempts at illegal emigration and proceeded to rescue of (304) individuals on board home-built boats, while (160) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
