General Said CHANEGRIHA, Chief of the PNA Staff on a working visit to the 1st Military Region in Blida
As part of the working and inspection visits to the various Military Regions and a few days before the opening of the Combat Preparation Year 2024-2025, General Said CHANEGRIHA, Chief of the People's National Army Staff, paid a working visit to the 1st Military Region this Saturday, 21st September, 2024, where he gave a set of instructions and guidelines with a view to making this Combat Preparation Year a success.
At the beginning, and after the welcoming ceremony given by Major General Ali SIDANI, Commander of the 1st Military Region at the National School of Aeronautical Technicians, the General of the Army held a meeting with the executives of the 1st Military Region during which he delivered an orientation speech, broadcast by videoconference to all Force Commands, Military Regions and Major Units and through which he expressed his satisfaction for this working visit which constitutes an opportunity to encourage personnel to enhance the achievements and remedy the shortcomings recorded, in order to ensure the greatest success for this new year of combat preparation:
"I would like, first of all, to express my great satisfaction for the holding of this inspection and working visit, which offers me the opportunity to meet the executives and personnel of the 1st Military Region, and to address the commanders, executives and personnel of the Commands and other Military Regions at through the videoconferencing system, to provide a set of instructions and guidelines with a view to making the 2024-2025 combat preparation year a success, which we want to be an opportunity to enhance the achievements and remedy the shortcomings recorded during the past year, in order to perfectly fulfil the missions assigned to us and to continually adapt to the geopolitical changes that surround us.
Indeed, the accelerated changes taking place in the sub-region and around our national borders call on us to redouble our vigilance, to exercise greater caution and to consolidate surveillance systems, while ensuring that appropriate improvements and adjustments are made to what has been accomplished so far, in line with the objectives set for this new year, whether in terms of combat preparation of personnel and units, increasing the availability of the Battle Corps of the People's National Army, or in terms of securing our borders, fighting drug trafficking networks, illegal immigration and organized crime in all its forms. »
On this same occasion, the General addressed, on his behalf and on behalf of all the personnel of the People's National Army, his congratulations to Mr. Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE for his re-election as President of the Republic following the early presidential elections of 7th September, 2024. He also expressed his gratitude to all the personnel of the PNA and the various security services for their contribution to the success of this crucial electoral meeting:
"On the occasion of the re-election of Mr. Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE, President of the Republic, Supreme Chef of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, following the presidential elections of this 7th September, it is my pleasure to address to him, on behalf of all of you, my warmest congratulations for the renewed confidence that the Algerian people have placed in him, by re-electing him for a second term, and continuing the process of building the new Algeria.
Just as we reiterate, within the People's National Army, our commitment to continue the work under his leadership, with selflessness and dedication in order to consolidate the security and stability of the country, further enhance the operational readiness of our valiant army and strengthen its professionalism, in order to enable it to face all threats and thwart all subversive and hostile plans.
I would also like to extend my congratulations to all the personnel of the People's National Army and the various security services, in recognition of their considerable efforts, and the high sense of duty and responsibility they have demonstrated, demonstrating, once again, their willingness to contribute effectively to the success of this kind of important meeting through the security of all stages of the electoral process, making this event another decisive step in the establishment of a true democracy and the safeguarding of our republican regime."
At the end, the General gave the personnel a set of instructions and guidelines covering in their entirety the need to maintain the operational capability of the units and consolidate the factors of security and stability throughout the national territory, before following with great interest, the interventions of the executives of the Region who shared their concerns and proposals.
