Operational report of the PNA from 4th to 10th September, 2024
In the dynamic of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army executed, during the period from 4th to 10th September 2024, several operations leading to quality results which reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of the fight against terrorism and thanks to the efforts of the units of People's National Army, the terrorist named "B.M " named "Ishak" surrendered to the military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar in the 6th MR, in his possession (01) submachine gun type Kalashnikov, a quantity of ammunition and other effects. In the same context, PNA detachments arrested (04) elements supporting terrorist groups during separate operations across the national territory.
As part of the fight against organized crime, and in continuation of sustained efforts aimed at thwarting the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations executed across the Military Regions, (46) drug traffickers, and foiled attempts to introduce (6) quintals and (5) kilograms of Treated kif coming from the borders with Morocco, while (29) kilograms of cocaïne and (138 533) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In-Salah and In Guezzam, PNA detachments arrested (935) individuals and seized (32) vehicles, (159) generators, (117) jackhammers, (08) metal detector, and quantity of raw gold stones mixture, as well as quantities of explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Likewise, (13) other individuals were intercepted and (01) Kalashnikov type submachine gun, (01) automatic gun, (09) hunting rifles, (42,568) liters of fuel as well as (6.5) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation were seized in separate operations across the national territory.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard foiled, on the national coasts, illegal emigration attempts by (226) individuals aboard artisanal boats, while (191) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
