Operational report of the PNA from 11th to 17th September, 2024
In the dynamics of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of the People's National Army carried out, during the period from 11th to 17th September 2024, several operations leading in quality results that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People’s National Army arrested (07) elements supporting terrorist groups during separate operations across the national territory.
As part of the fight against organized crime, and in continuity with the sustained efforts aimed at countering the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations carried out across the Military Regions, (48) drug traffickers, and thwarted attempts to introduce (01) quintal and (92) kilograms of treated kif and (3.22) kilograms from the borders with Morocco, while (177,302) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Salah, In Guezzam and Illizi, PNA detachments arrested (340) individuals and seized (18) vehicles, (167) generators, (159) jackhammers, as well as quantities of raw gold stones mixture, explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Similarly, (25) other individuals were arrested and (10) hunting rifles, three (03) automatic pistols, (12990) liters of fuel, as well as (206.22) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation were seized, during separate operations across the national territory.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard thwarted, on the national coasts, attempts at illegal emigration of (39) individuals on board home-built boats, while (389) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
