Operational report of the ANP from 18th to 24th September, 2024
In the dynamics of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's Army t National carried out, during the period from 18th to 24th September 2024, several operations which resulted in quality results that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of the fight against terrorism, a detachment of People's National Army killed (02) terrorists and recovered one (01)semi-automatic rifle type Simonov- and other objects, during a qualitative operation in Tebessa.
In the same context, and thanks to the efforts of the units of People's National Army, the terrorist named "Ouled El Bekkay Mohamed" known as "Hamma", surrendered to the military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar in the Sixth Military Region, in his possession one (01) submachine gun type Kalashnikov-, a quantity of ammunition and other effects. While other detachments of PNA arrested (12) elements supporting terrorist groups during separate operations across the national territory.
As part of the fight against organized crime, and in continuity with the sustained efforts aimed at countering the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of PNA intercepted, in coordination with the various security services during operations carried out across the Military Regions, (30) drug traffickers, and thwarted attempts to introduce (11) quintals of treated kif from the borders with Morocco, while (13.21) kilograms of cocaine and (862,398) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Salah and Tindouf, ANP detachments arrested (237) individuals and seized (17) vehicles, (92) generators, (49) jackhammers, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixture, explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Similarly, (15) other individuals were arrested and one (01) Kalashnikov-type submachine gun, (05) automatic pistols, (10) hunting rifles, (76,730) liters of fuel, (68) quintals of tobacco and (386) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation were seized, during separate operations across the national territory.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard thwarted, on the national coasts, attempts at illegal emigration of (176) individuals on board home-built boats, while (288) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
