PNA Operational Report from 30th July to 5th August 2025
Within the framework of the sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out several operations between 30th July and 5th August 2025, resulting in high-quality results that reflect high professionalism, vigilance, and constant readiness of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army discovered and destroyed 12 terrorist’ casemates and 13 homemade mines in Khenchela, while 5 elements of support for terrorist groups were arrested in various operations across the national territory.
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and in continuation of the efforts made to counter drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army intercepted, in coordination with the various security services, during operations carried out across the Military Regions, (41) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce (4) quintals and (78) kilograms of treated kif from the borders with Morocco, while (1,150,627) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Salah, In Guezzam, and Djanet, detachments of People's National Army arrested 146 individuals and seized 23 vehicles, 150 generators, 107 jackhammers, 65 metal detectors, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixtures and equipment used in illegal gold mining operations. Similarly, six other individuals were arrested, and three submachine guns type Kalashnikov, four hunting rifles, 32,060 litres of fuel, and 14 tons of foodstuff intended for smuggling and speculation were seized during separate operations.
On the other hand, the Coast Guard foiled, on our national coasts, illegal emigration attempts and proceeded to the rescue of (20) individuals on board homemade boats, while (276) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
