Operational Report of PNA from 6th to the 12th August 2025
Within the framework of the sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, between August 6th and 12th 2025, several operations which led to high-quality results that reflect the professionalism, vigilance, and constant readiness of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army slaughtered four terrorists and recovered four Kalashnikov-type submachine guns along the south-eastern borders in the 4th Military Region.
In the same context, the terrorist named "Karzazi Omar", alias "Aboussif" surrendered to the military authorities of Bordj Badji Mokhtar in the 6th Military Region, in his possession of one (1) Kalashnikov-type submachine gun, a quantity of ammunition and other effects, while (9) elements of support for terrorist groups were arrested, in different operations across the national territory.
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and in continuation of the efforts made to counter drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army intercepted, in coordination with the various security services, during operations carried out across the Military Regions, (51) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce (4) quintals and (7) kilograms of treated kif from the borders with Morocco, while (2.52) kilograms of cocaine and (192,057) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam, In Salah and Illizi, detachments of People's National Army arrested (306) individuals and seized (33) vehicles, (172) generators, (96) jackhammers, as well as quantities of raw gold and stones mixture and equipment used in illegal gold mining operations. Similarly, (13) other individuals were apprehended and (3) hunting rifles, (16005) liters of fuel, as well as (16) quintals of tobacco were seized, all during separate operations.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard thwarted illegal immigration attempts on the national coasts and rescued (562) individuals on board homemade boats, while (718) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
