Second day of the visit of General Saïd Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of People's National Army Staff in the 4th Military Region
On the second day of his visit to the 4th Military Region, General Saïd Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of People's National Army Staff, oversaw a tactical exercise with live ammunition at the Northeast Operational Sector in Amenas on Tuesday, 29th April, 2025.
The General, along with Major General Omar Tlemçani, Commander of the 4th Military Region, attended a presentation by the Commander of the Operational Sector, covering the general idea and execution stages of the exercise.
This tactical exercise, carried out with live ammunition, aimed to test the combat readiness of the units of the Operational Sector, the ability to carry out possible combat missions, the mastery of combat equipment and modern weapons systems, to train commands and staffs to develop their knowledge in planning, preparation, organization and execution, while putting them in the conditions of real combat.
At the Sector's training ground, the General closely followed the various combat actions carried out by the land and air units involved. These actions, which were characterized, during all phases of the exercise, by professionalism and a high tactical and operational level, confirmed once again the rigor in the accomplishment of actions both in terms of planning and execution, and reflected the competence of the officers in planning, conducting and coordinating combat actions, as well as the know-how and mastery, by the personnel, of the various weapons systems and equipment made available.
At the end of the exercise, the General met with the personnel of the units that carried out this exercise, to assess the overall performance of the participants. In situ, he congratulated them for the efforts made during the preparation and execution of this tactical exercise with live ammunition, which was sanctioned by very satisfactory results, reflected in the precision of the shots with the different weapons and the perfect coordination between the units and forces involved. The General urged all personnel to take advantage of the positive results obtained, so as to further increase the operational capabilities of the Battle Corps, at the level of this sensitive sector, in particular, and of the People's National Army, in general, before reviewing the units of the Northeast Operational Sector In Amenas, as well as the formations participating in this exercise.
