As part of the action plan of Information Systems Security Agency of the Employment and Preparation Department of People's National Army Staff, relating to awareness campaigns aimed at all government institutions and organizations, and stemming from the national information systems security strategy, to which the country's highest authorities attach great importance, the Information Systems Security Agency organized today, April 12
th, 2025, an information and awareness day on cybersecurity for elementary school students. This event was organized in collaboration and coordination with the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of National Solidarity, Family and the Status of Women, the Ministry of Culture and Arts, the Ministry of the Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises, and the National Agency for the Protection and Promotion of Children.
The day's activities were supervised by the Minister of National Education, in the presence of the Minister of the Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises and the Director General of the Information Systems Security Agency of the Ministry of National Defence.
This event, which aims to raise awareness among primary school students, including children with special needs, was held at the Mohamed Hadjrès High School in Mohammedia, Algiers. The goal is also to instill a culture of cybersecurity in children from an early age, to encourage their interest in digital technologies, to give them an overview of the specializations offered by this field, and to raise their awareness of the dangers and threats of cyberspace.
During the day, workshops were organized, including a series of educational and learning games on the concept of cybersecurity, adapted to the educational level of the children in this cycle.
It should be noted that this cybersecurity awareness campaign is an initial initiative that will be followed by similar campaigns in educational institutions in other provinces, in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education and relevant institutions.
