Operational Report of PNA from 27th March to 1st April, 2025
As part of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out several operations between 27th March and 1st April, 2025, resulting in high-quality results that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance, and constant readiness of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory.
As part of the fight against terrorism and thanks to the efforts of the units of People's National Army, the terrorist named "Hadj Osmane Goumar" surrendered to the military authorities of In Guezzam in the 6th Military Region, in his possession one (01) Kalashnikov-type submachine gun, a quantity of ammunition and other effects, while other detachments of PNA arrested (05) elements of support for terrorist groups in different operations across the national territory.
As part of the fight against organized crime and in continuity with the sustained efforts aimed at countering the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army intercepted, in coordination with the various security services, during operations carried out across the Military Regions, (23) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce (06) quintals and (80) kilograms of treated kif from the borders with Morocco, while (4,513) kilograms of cocaine and (214,929) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Adrar and Illizi, detachments of People's National Army arrested (136) individuals and seized (26) vehicles, (148) generators, (54) jackhammers, (02) metal detectors, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixture, explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Similarly, (06) other individuals were arrested and (01) automatic pistol, (03) hunting rifles, (67,524) liters of fuel, as well as (28) quintals of tobacco and (2.55) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation were seized during various operations.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard thwarted illegal immigration attempts on the national coasts and rescued (78) individuals on board homemade boats, while (145) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
