Operational Report of PNA from 02nd to 08th April, 2025
In the dynamics of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 02nd to 08th April 2025, several operations which resulted in quality results which reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory.
As part of the fight against terrorism and thanks to the efforts of the units of People's National Army, the terrorist named "Benali Boubaker" alias "Aboubaker" surrendered to the military authorities of Bordj Badji Mokhtar in the 6th Military Region, in his possession one (1) submachine gun type Kalashnikov, a quantity of ammunition and other effects, while other detachments of PNA arrested (9) elements supporting terrorist groups in different operations across the national territory.
As part of the fight against organized crime and in continuation of sustained efforts aimed at countering the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army intercepted, in coordination with the various security services, during operations carried out across the Military Regions, (37) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce one quintal and (65) kilograms of Treaded kif from the borders with Morocco, while (42.57) kilograms of cocaine and (220,810) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, and In Salah, detachments of People's National Army arrested (248) individuals and seized (23) vehicles, (153) generators, (91) jackhammers, (3) metal detectors, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixtures, explosives, detonation tools, and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Similarly, (13) other individuals were arrested, and one type submachine gun Kalashnikov-, one automatic pistol, (10) hunting rifles, (45,180) liters of fuel, as well as (23) quintals of tobacco, and (2.83) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation were seized during various operations.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard thwarted illegal immigration attempts on the national coasts and rescued (89) individuals on board homemade boats, while (494) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
