Operational Report of PNA from 09th to 15th April, 2025
Within the framework of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out several operations between 09th to 15th April, 2025, resulting in high-quality results that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance, and constant readiness of our Armed Forces throughout the country.
As part of the fight against terrorism and thanks to the efforts of units of People's National Army, terrorists named Hadj Osmane Ahmed and Hadj Osmane Hamidi, alias "Haban," surrendered to the military authorities of In Guezzam in the 6th Military Region, in possession of two Kalashnikov submachine guns, a quantity of ammunition, and other belongings.
Other PNA detachments arrested nine elements supporting terrorist groups in various operations across the country. As part of the fight against organized crime and continuing ongoing efforts to counter the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army, in coordination with various security services, during operations carried out across the Military Regions, intercepted 43 drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to smuggle two hundredweight and 32 kilograms of Treated kif from the border with Morocco, while seizing 152 kilograms of cocaine and 1,754,170 psychotropic pills.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, and In Salah, detachments of People's National Army arrested 773 individuals and seized 39 vehicles, 348 generators, 172 jackhammers, 15 metal detectors, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixtures, explosives, detonation tools, and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Similarly, six other individuals were arrested, and one RPG-7 rocket launcher, one automatic pistol, 10 hunting rifles, 77,000 liters of fuel, and 42 quintals of tobacco were seized during various operations.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard thwarted illegal immigration attempts on the national coasts and rescued (38) individuals on board homemade boats, while (1086) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
