PNA Operational Report from 23rd April to 29th, 2025
As part of the sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of the People’s National Army carried out, during the period from 23 to 29 April 2025, several operations resulting in high-quality outcomes that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance, and permanent readiness of our Armed Forces across the entire national territory:
In the fight against terrorism and thanks to the efforts of the People’s National Army units, ANP detachments arrested (6) support elements for terrorist groups in various operations across the national territory.
In the fight against organized crime and in continuation of sustained efforts to counter the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of the People’s National Army intercepted, in coordination with various security services, during operations conducted across Military Regions, (38) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to smuggle (9) quintals and (91) kilograms of processed kif from the borders with Morocco, while (105,102) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Salah, and Djanet, detachments of the People’s National Army arrested (689) individuals and seized (24) vehicles, (355) generators, (176) jackhammers, (3) metal detectors, as well as quantities of raw gold-stone mixture, explosives, detonation tools, and equipment used in illegal gold panning operations. Similarly, (19) other individuals were arrested, and two automatic pistols, (4) hunting rifles, (60,207) liters of fuel, as well as (20) quintals of tobacco and (3) tons of food supplies intended for smuggling and speculation were seized during various operations.
Additionally, the Coast Guard thwarted illegal immigration attempts along the national coastline and rescued (122) individuals aboard makeshift boats, while (856) illegal immigrants of various nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
