The Military Institute for Documentation, Evaluation, and Forecasting of the Ministry of National Defence is organizing a symposium on April 8
th to 9
th and, 2025, at the National Army Circle in Beni Messous, 1st Military Region. The theme is «Consolidation of the Internal Front and National Cohesion: Between Internal Challenges and External Threats ». This symposium is supervised by Major General Mohamed Salah Benbicha, Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defense, and will be attended by the Advisor to the President of the Republic for Defence and Security Affairs, the President of the High Islamic Council, the Director of the National Institute for Global Strategy Studies, the Heads of Departments and Central Directors of the Ministry of National Defence, and General of People's National Army Staff, as well as senior government officials.
At the outset, and during his opening remarks, the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defence emphasized that this scientific symposium will constitute a new contribution capable of uniting efforts and consolidating the internal front against the threats targeting our country:
"I am convinced that this scientific symposium will culminate in recommendations and proposals that will allow us to unite efforts and highlight the elements of a national strategy capable of strengthening the internal front, against which all attempts to undermine national security and unity will be shattered.
At the end of my speech, I would like to extend my warmest welcome to all those who honored us with their presence and accepted the invitation, and wish the professors, experts, and all guests every success and achievement. I also thanked the Military Institute for Documentation, Evaluation, and Forecasting for organizing this type of event.
Finally, I officially declare this conference open".


Following this, the Director of the Military Institute for Documentation, Evaluation, and Forecasting of the Ministry of National Defence presented in his speech an analysis of the international and regional situation, which is experiencing accelerated and profound changes, marked by instability and the resurgence of tensions and conflicts, requiring the combined efforts of all to establish solid cohesion in the service of our country and its supreme interests.
This symposium, which aims to identify the challenges and threats to national cohesion and identify opportunities to further involve all stakeholders, and examine ways to strengthen the internal front, was punctuated by the presentation of several conferences led by researchers specialized in different fields, discussing related topics such as cohesion and anchoring citizenship through school curricula, the role of Algerian diplomacy in promoting national identity, the economic development strategy and its effect on consolidating the internal front. The symposium was also marked by open debates and interventions by specialists and participants, reflecting the great importance of the theme of consolidating the internal front and national cohesion, particularly with regard to determining the factors for strengthening national unity and civil peace and anchoring the sense of pride and belonging to the country.
