4th day of the official visit of General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of People's National Army Staff in the Republic of India
On the fourth day of his visit to the Republic of India, at the invitation of Mr. General Anil CHAUHAN, Chief of Indian Armed Forces Defense Staff, Mr. General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of People's National Army Staff and the high-level military delegation accompanying him went, this Saturday, 8th February 2025, to the companies "BHARAT FORGE LIMITED" and "LARSEN AND TOUBRO".
At the beginning, the General visited the company "BHARAT FORGE LIMITED", where he inquired about the high level reached by this company, particularly in the field of steel industry, military vehicles and the defence industry, and which enjoys a great reputation in the field of technological engineering.
The General and the delegation accompanying him listened to the explanations relating to the capacities of this company in the manufacture, production and maintenance of artillery systems and armored vehicles. The two parties then reviewed the prospects for cooperation in the field of co-production and technology transfer, before the Algerian military delegation visited some of the company's pavilions, where detailed explanations were provided to them on its various divisions, particularly on robotic systems assisted by Artificial Intelligence, as well as an exhibition relating to its various productions.
Secondly, the General and the accompanying delegation visited the company "LARSEN AND TOUBRO", specialized in engineering, infrastructure and defense industries, where they followed a presentation and received details on the latest innovations presented by this company and its capabilities to produce military equipment, as well as the solutions it offers in the fields of air defence systems, radars and military port infrastructure.
On this occasion, the General inquired about the current and future projects of this company, before praising the level it has reached, while emphasizing the importance of consolidating military cooperation between Algeria and India and the imperative of expanding the partnership to the fields of research, development and training.
At the end, the General planted a tree in the enclosure of this company as a testimony to the strength of the friendly relations between Algeria and India.
