Mr. President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence presides over a reception ceremony at the National Army Circle
On the occasion of the celebration of the 63rd anniversary of Independence Day and the Restoration of National Sovereignty, Mr. Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE, President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, presided over a reception ceremony on the evening of Saturday, July 5th, 2025, at the National Army Circle in Beni Messous, Algiers, honoring senior officers of the People's National Army, both active and retired, in the presence of senior government officials.
The President of the Republic was welcomed at the entrance to the National Army Circle by General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence and Chief of People's National Army Staff.
The ceremony, which is part of the great traditions of People's National Army aimed at commemorating the key dates of our glorious history and in tribute to our valiant martyrs, was attended by the President of the Council of the Nation, the President of the People's National Assembly, the Prime Minister, the Acting President of the Constitutional Court, the Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic and members of the Government, and Advisors to the President of the Republic as well as the Lieutenant General, Commander of the Land Forces, the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defense, Force Commanders, the Commander of the Republican Guard, the Commander of the National Gendarmerie, the Director of the Office of the Ministry of National Defense, the Commander of the First Military Region, Heads of Departments, the Comptroller General of the Army, Directors and Heads of Central Services of the Ministry of National Defense and the General Staff of People's National Army, alongside senior State officials in addition to national and Moudjahidine figures and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Algeria.
On this occasion, the audience listened to the National Anthem performed by a musical troupe of the Republican Guard and watched a documentary film entitled "Victorious Algeria... Algeria of Nation-Building and Loyalty to the Martyrs’ Oath", produced by the Directorate of Information and Communication of the People's National Army/GS-PNA, before concluding the ceremony with a fireworks display commemorating the event.
