As part of sustained efforts to combat terrorism and multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out several operations during the first half of 2025, yielding qualitative results reflecting the high professionalism, vigilance, and constant readiness of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory, to thwart all attempts to undermine the security, stability, and sovereignty of our country.
As part of the fight against terrorism, our Armed Forces neutralized (35) terrorists and (227) support elements, as well as recovered (333) firearms and quantities of ammunition.
As part of the fight against organized crime, the various units of PNA have increased their efforts to counter the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, which has led to the arrest of (1,186) drug traffickers and the thwarting of the introduction of (17.12) tons of Treated kif from the borders with Morocco, while (663) kilograms of cocaine and (24) million psychotropic tablets were seized. Likewise, these qualitative operations resulted in the arrest of (7,770) individuals and the seizure of (921) vehicles, as well as (3,281) jackhammers, (5,523) generators, (172) metal detectors, (1,403,382) liters of fuel, (760) tons of tobacco, and (758.55) quintals of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation, during separate operations across the country.
