Within the framework of the sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and multifaceted organised crime, units and detachments of the People's National Army carried out several operations between 23rd and 29th July 2025, leading to high-quality results that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance, and constant readiness of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of the fight against terrorism, and thanks to the efforts of the units of the People's National Army, the terrorists named Toudji Ahmed, alias "Abdelkader", and Malouki HibAllah surrendered to the military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar in the 6th Military Region. They were in possession of one (1) Kalashnikov-type submachine gun, a quantity of ammunition, and other belongings. Meanwhile, detachments of the People's National Army arrested three (3) elements providing support to terrorist groups during various operations.

Within the framework of the fight against organised crime, and in continuity with the efforts deployed to counter the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of the People's National Army, in coordination with various security services, apprehended forty-three (43) drug traffickers and foiled attempts to smuggle five (5) quintals and ninety-five (95) kilograms of treated kif from the borders with Morocco, while one hundred and seven thousand three hundred and forty-four (107,344) psychotropic tablets were seized.



In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Salah, and In Guezzam, detachments of the People's National Army arrested three hundred and ninety-six (396) individuals and seized twenty-two (22) vehicles, two hundred and fifty-eight (258) generators, two hundred and thirty-two (232) jackhammers, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixture, and equipment used in illegal gold mining operations.
Similarly, sixteen (16) other individuals were arrested, and four (4) hunting rifles, one (1) Kalashnikov-type submachine gun, twenty-eight thousand and fifty (28,050) litres of fuel, seventeen (17) quintals of tobacco, and three (3) tonnes of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation were seized during separate operations across the national territory.


Furthermore, the Coast Guards thwarted illegal immigration attempts along the national coasts and rescued forty-five (45) individuals on board handmade boats, while four hundred and ninety-four (494) illegal immigrants of various nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
