Following the search and raid operation carried out by detachments of People's National Army on June 3, 2025, in the Oued Boudekhane area of the Khenchela Military Sector in the 5th Military Region, which resulted in the elimination of two terrorists and the recovery of two submachine guns type Kalashnikov and a quantity of ammunition, the identification operation made which led to determine the identity of one of the terrorists killed. This terrorist is:

      Terrorist "Merrikhi Abderahmane," alias "Hodhaïfa Abou Bouchra," who joined terrorist groups in 2007, where he was "emir" within a terrorist group operating in the eastern part of the country.

      The operation to identify the second terrorist is still ongoing.
