General Said Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of People's Army National Staff, chairs the annual meeting of military infrastructure executives

      General Said Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of People's National Army Staff, chaired the annual meeting of the executives of the Central Directorate of Military Infrastructure this Saturday, 10th May 2025, at the Military Engineering and Infrastructure Development Center in Hussein-Dey.

      At the beginning, and after the welcoming ceremony, the General observed a moment of silence in memory of the late Moujahid, Major General Ahmed Sanhadji, after whom the Center's headquarters is named. The General then laid a wreath at the deceased's memorial stele and recited the Fatiha in his memory and that of the valiant martyrs.

      Then, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defence, the Commander of the 1st Military Regiment, the Chiefs of Departments, the Comptroller General of the Army, and the Central Directors of the General Staff of People's National Army and the Ministry of National Defence, the Army General inaugurated the technical building of the Military Engineering and Infrastructure Development Center, where he received presentations on the activities listed under the 2024-2025 workload plan, as well as on the technical equipment and planned projects.

  

  

      The General then visited the various departments of the Military Engineering and Infrastructure Development Center, before inaugurating a new museum at this unit, dedicated to the evolution of the Military Infrastructure Branch and its significant contributions to the construction of vital infrastructure for the country.

  

  

  

      On this occasion, the General delivered an inaugural address, which was followed by videoconference by the executives of the Central Directorate of Military Infrastructure across the six Military Regions. In his speech, the General praised the important role played by this Directorate since its creation and its effective contribution to the implementation of national-scale projects of vital importance to the country, in addition to building solid infrastructure foundations for the PNA.

  

      “The Military Infrastructure Service, whose first nucleus was formed during our glorious liberation revolution and made a significant contribution to it, has largely contributed to eliminating the aftermath of colonialism after regaining our national independence. It has also participated effectively in the battle to build and rebuild the country, demonstrating a strong and distinguished presence in the implementation of major economic and social projects, such as the Trans-Saharan Highway, industrial complexes, schools and universities, hospitals, and hundreds of agricultural villages throughout the national territory.

      This is without forgetting its primary mission, which is to lay solid foundations for our People's National Army in this area, through the construction and development of basic infrastructure for the benefit of our Armed Forces; a mission that the personnel of this Service have successfully accomplished with rigor and dedication.”
