General Saïd Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of Staff People’s National Army, chairs the 18th session of the Advisory Council of the Higher War College

In accordance with the provisions of the Presidential Decree of September 26th, 2005, establishing the Higher War College, General Saïd Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, chaired the 18th session of the Advisory Council of this College on Thursday, May 15th, 2025.

After the welcoming ceremony, accompanied by the Commander of the 1st Military Region and the Director of the War College, the General observed a moment of silence in memory of the late President Ali Kafi, after whom the school's headquarters is named, before laying a wreath at his memorial stone and reciting the Fatiha in his memory.

The General then chaired the work of the School's Advisory Board, where he delivered a keynote address, emphasizing that the High Command of the people’s National Army places great importance on combat readiness, through the intensification of exercises based on realistic scenarios and instilling in personnel the ability to react quickly to changes and emerging situations:

"We have always considered that combat readiness and continuous training of military personnel are the essential keys to mastering weapons and weapons systems, and to successfully exploiting them optimally. Because a soldier who has the most modern equipment but lacks practical experience in its use is likely to find himself unable to handle the challenges of the field." It is with this in mind that we ensure that combat preparation is given the necessary importance by organizing intensive training sessions that encompass realistic scenarios, and by instilling in our personnel the mechanisms that enable them to react quickly to changes that occur and to emerging situations, thereby strengthening their ability to use their skills with competence and precision."

The General also emphasized the importance he attaches to the War College as an institution called upon to make a significant contribution to the preparation of the Forces, through the development of new theoretical approaches and the design of innovative practical visions, with a view to defining the best methods for continuous adaptation in the face of changing circumstances:

"In this context, we are counting heavily on the War College to contribute to this effort to prepare the forces, through the development of new theoretical approaches and the design of innovative practical visions around methods for continuous adaptation to changing circumstances, so as to ensure an effective response to all current and future challenges, and to preserve our country's position as a regional power, permanently ready to face any threat to its sovereignty, stability, and vital interests."

The General then received a comprehensive presentation from the Director of the War College, which focused on the achievements made since the last session of the Advisory Board and the objectives set for the 2025-2026 training year. The presentation was followed by remarks from the Advisory Board members on the items on the agenda.

At the end, General Saïd Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the people’s National Army, signed the War College's guestbook.
