As part of his visits to the various Military Regions, General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of People's National Army Staff, begins today, Wednesday 21
st May, 2025, a working and inspection visit to the 3
rd Military Region.
The visit began at the South Tindouf Operational Sector, where after the welcome ceremony, presided over by Major General Nacereddine FODHIL, Commander of the 3
rd Military Region, the Army General held an orientation meeting with the Region's executives and personnel, during which he delivered a speech, broadcast by videoconference to all units in the Region, in which he stressed the particular importance he attaches to the execution of tactical exercises, which are a real criterion for measuring the fighting skills of personnel and their mastery of the equipment and weapons systems acquired.

"The professionalism of the combatant in war has always been a decisive factor and an important criterion for measuring the readiness of forces and their ability to fully assume the assigned missions, as have individual performance, discipline and ability to perform.
It is in this context that we attach particular importance to tactical exercises, at all levels and grades, as they are a real test, both for the training system, which is the crucible in which skills are forged, and for combat preparation, which reinforces the experience and professionalism of personnel, and increases their ability to master the various equipment and weapons systems made available".
The General stressed the need to harmonize the efforts made, and the material and human resources mobilized, to safeguard national sovereignty and protect the security of the country and its citizens.
"In this perspective, we ensure that the progress achieved in all aspects of the profession of arms, at the level of all the components of our Armed Forces, is in perfect correspondence with the efforts made, and the material means and human resources mobilized, as well as with the ambitious objectives set, particularly in terms of bringing together the elements of military power, capable of enabling us to defend the homeland and citizens, safeguard our sacred national sovereignty and protect the security and supreme interests of our country.”
The General then listened attentively to the concerns and proposals put forward by the personnel of the 3
rd Military Region. Before giving them a series of recommendations and general guidelines.
At the end of his visit, the General laid the foundation stone for a 240-bed military hospital in Hassi Ammar, Tindouf, designed to provide better health care for military personnel and their dependants. Also at Hassi Ammar, in Tindouf, the General also inaugurated a garrison circle, before inspecting its facilities and receiving exhaustive explanations on the social and leisure services offered by this establishment.
