Operational Report of PNA from 30th April to the 6th May 2025
As part of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out several operations between 30th April and 6th May, 2025, resulting in high-quality results that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance, and constant readiness of our Armed Forces throughout the country.
As part of the fight against terrorism and thanks to the efforts of the units of People's National Army, the terrorist named Berbouchi Saidou, alias "Abdelaziz" surrendered to the military authorities of Bordj Badji Mokhtar in the 6th Military Region, in his possession one (1) submachine gun type Kalashnikov, a quantity of ammunition and other effects, while other detachments of People's National Army arrested (11) elements supporting terrorist groups, in different operations across the national territory.
As part of the fight against organized crime and continuing ongoing efforts to counter the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army, in coordination with the various security services, intercepted (40) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to smuggle (3) quintals and (39) kilograms of treated kif from the borders with Morocco, while (17.86) kilograms of cocaine and (3,743,658) psychotropic tablets were seized during operations carried out across the Military Regions.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Salah and In Guezzam, detachments of People's National Army arrested (438) individuals and seized (41) vehicles, (137) generators, (80) jackhammers, (9) metal detectors, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixture, explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Similarly, (12) other individuals were arrested and (4) hunting rifles, (278,600) liters of fuel, as well as (5.85) tons of food intended for smuggling and speculation were seized, during various operations.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard thwarted illegal immigration attempts on the national coasts and rescued (36) individuals on board homemade boats, while (186) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
