Operational Report of PNA from 21st to 27th May 2025
As part of the sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out several operations between 21st and 27th May, 2025, resulting in high-quality results that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance, and constant readiness of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory.
As part of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army arrested 10 elements supporting terrorist groups in various operations across the national territory.
As part of the fight against organized crime and continuing ongoing efforts to counter the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army, in coordination with the various security services, intercepted 45 drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to smuggle 18 quintals and 50 kilograms of processed cannabis from the border with Morocco, while 1400 grams of cocaine and 114188 psychotropic pills were seized during operations conducted across the Military Regions.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Salah, In Guezzam, and Djanet, detachments of People's National Army arrested 87 individuals and seized 42 vehicles, 109 generators, 68 jackhammers, 12 metal detectors, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixtures, explosives, detonation tools, and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. other eleven individuals (11) were arrested, and two submachine guns’ type Kalashnikov, nine hunting rifles, and 20720 liters of fuel, as well as 66 quintals of tobacco and 83 tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation, were seized during various operations.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard thwarted illegal immigration attempts on the national coasts and rescued (157) individuals on board homemade boats, while (378) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
