Operational Report of PNA from 26th February to 4th March 2025
In the dynamics of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 26th February to 4th March 2025, several operations that led to quality results that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of the fight against terrorism, a detachment of People's National Army captured, in Tamanrasset, the wanted terrorist "Malaoui Tahar" and recovered one (1) RPG-7 rocket launcher, two (2) submachine guns type Kalashnikov, one (1) machine gun, a quantity of ammunition and other effects.
In the same context, (3) terrorists surrendered to the military authorities of Bordj Badji Mokhtar in the 6th Military Region. These are the so-called "Larbi Ladmi" known as "Saddam", "Ita Lamine" known as "Houdhaïfa" and "Ben Kheia Siouit" known as "Abou Daoud". The said terrorists had in their possession (2) submachine guns type Kalashnikov, (03) other firearms, a quantity of ammunition and other effects. Similarly, PNA detachments arrested (10) elements supporting terrorist groups in different operations.
As part of the fight against organized crime and in continuity with sustained efforts aimed at countering the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army intercepted, in coordination with the various security services, during operations carried out across the Military Regions, (36) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce (3) quintals and (31) kilograms of processed kif from the borders with Morocco, while (929875) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Salah and Djanet, detachments of People's National Army arrested (244) individuals and seized (33) vehicles, (265) generators, (159) jackhammers, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixture, explosives, detonation tools and equipment used in illegal gold mining operations. Similarly, (44) other individuals were arrested and one (1) submachine gun type Kalashnikov- (1) submachine gun, (3) hunting rifles, (7) pump-action shotguns, (78,730) liters of fuel, as well as (8) quintals of tobacco and (9) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation were seized, during various operations.
Furthermore, (716) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
