Operational Report of PNA from 5th to 11th March, 2025
As part of the sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out several operations between 5th and 11th March and, 2025, resulting in high-quality results that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance, and constant readiness of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory.
As part of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army arrested six (6) terrorist support elements in various operations across the national territory.
As part of the fight against organized crime and continuing ongoing efforts to counter the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army, in coordination with various security services, during operations carried out across the Military Regions, intercepted (50) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to smuggle (9) quintals and (5) kilograms of processed cannabis from across the border with Morocco, while seizing (2,954,228) psychotropic pills.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, and In Guezzam, detachments of People's National Army arrested (145) individuals and seized (56) vehicles, (191) generators, (139) jackhammers, (7) metal detectors, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixtures, explosives, detonation tools, and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Similarly, (31) other individuals were arrested, and one (1) automatic pistol, six (6) hunting rifles, (48,470) liters of fuel, as well as (14) tons of tobacco and (116) tons of food intended for smuggling and speculation were seized during various operations.
In addition, (417) illegal immigrants of various nationalities were arrested throughout the country.
