Operational Report of PNA from 13th to 18th March, 2025
As part of sustained efforts to combat terrorism and multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out several operations between 13th and 18th March, 2025, resulting in high-quality results that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance, and constant readiness of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory.
As part of the fight against terrorism, four (4) terrorists surrendered to the military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar in the 6th Military Region. These terrorists, who were operating in the Sahel region, were in possession of four (4) Kalashnikov submachine guns, a quantity of ammunition, and various belongings, while detachments of People's National Army arrested (14) elements supporting terrorist groups during various operations.
As part of the fight against organized crime and in continuation of sustained efforts aimed at countering the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army intercepted, in coordination with the various security services, during operations carried out across the Military Regions, (41) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce (30) quintals and (58) kilograms of treated kif from the borders with Morocco, while (720,548) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Salah, and Illizi, detachments of People's National Army arrested 350 individuals and seized 40 vehicles, 179 generators, 118 jackhammers, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixtures, explosives, detonation tools, and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Similarly, 21 other individuals were arrested, and 1 automatic pistol, 7 hunting rifles, 14,965 liters of fuel, 87 quintals of tobacco, and 6 tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation were seized during various operations.
In addition, 373 illegal immigrants of various nationalities were arrested throughout the country.
